Emily Louisa Diana Knox

The daughter of Lt-Col John James Knox and Mary Louisa Taylor, she was born in Elstree, Hertfordshire, in 1825.
She married Sir Robert Dundas on 25 Sept 1845 and the couple had four daughters and two sons.

She died in 1881.

Victoria Alexandria Montagu Douglas Scott

She was born at Dalkeith Castle, the daughter of Walter Montagu Douglas Scott, 5th Duke of Buccleugh, and Lady Charlotte Anne Thynne. Her mother was a Mistress of the Robes to Queen Victoria, after whom she was named.

In 1863 she was one of the bridesmaids at the wedding of Alexandra of Denmark to the future King Edward VII.

She married Schomberg Henry Kerr, 9th Marquis of Lothian, in 1865. The couple had six daughters and three sons.
She was widowed in 1900. She remarried Bertram Chetwynd in 1903. She was widowed for a second time in 1936. She died in 1938 at Mounteviot House.

Maria Douglas-Home

Maria Grey was the daughter of Captain Charles Grey and his wife Caroline Macan. She married Charles Alexander Douglas-Home, 12th Earl of Home, on 18 August 1870. The couple had five children, four daughters and a son.

She commissioned a cottage hospital for the village of Douglas in 1889.

Her husband died in 1918 and she died in 1919.

Laura Fraser

Laura Lister was born in 1892, the daughter of Thomas Lister, Lord Ribbesdale, and his wife Charlotte Tennant. Her portrait was painted by Sergent in 1896. She married Simon Fraser, Lord Lovat in 1910. He was twenty years her senior. The couple had five children, 2 sons and 3 daughters.

Lady Lovat was interested in the social welfare of the Highlands. She laid the foundation stone of the school which bears her name in 1914, returning to open it in 1915.

Her husband died in 1933 and her youngest child in 1940. She died in 1965.

Euphemia Drummond

Euphemia Drummond was the fifth daughter of John Drummond, 1st Lord Drummond and Lady Elizabeth Lindsay. She married John, 2nd Lord Fleming, by whom she had a son, Malcolm. She died in 1501, together with two of her sisters, after eating a meal together. It was widely believed that they had been poisoned.

The sixth daughter of John Drummond, 1st Lord Drummond and Lady Elizabeth Lindsay she, and two of her elder sisters, died after eating a meal. They were believed to have been poisoned. She died in 1501.

Margaret Drummond

She was the daughter of John Drummond, 1st Lord Drummond and Lady Elizabeth Lindsay. She was the mistress of King James IV and there were rumours that the couple had married secretly. She gave birth to the king's daughter, Margaret c1497.
She and two of her sisters died after eating a meal at Drummond Castle. It was widely believed that they had been poisoned.

Caroline Hamilton Gordon

Born in Kent, into an aristocratic Scottish family, in 1863, she was the second daughter of Alexander Hamilton Gordon and Caroline Emilia Mary Herschel and a granddaughter of the 4th Earl of Aberdeen. She married Arthur J L Gordon in 1885. The couple lived at Ellon Castle. She died in 1937.

Camilla Rosemary Shand was born on 17th July, 1947, daughter of Major Bruce Shand and the Honourable Rosalind Cubitt. Her siblings are Sonia Annabel(born on 2 Feb 1949)and Mark Roland (born 28 June 1951).

After leaving school and attending finishing school and a fine arts course, she was a Debutante in 1965 and worked as a part-time secretary and for a decorating company. She is a keen horsewoman, at one time engaging in fox hunting, and is interested in gardening and horticulture.

Louisa Caroline Alberta, The Princess Louise, was born on 18th March 1848 at Buckingham Palace, the sixth child of Queen Victoria and Albert, Prince Consort.

Louise had eight brothers and sisters: Victoria Adelaide Mary Louise (1840 - 1901), Edward Albert (1841 - 1910), Edward who became Edward VII (9 November 1841 - 6th May 1910), Alice Maud Mary (1843 - 1878), Alfred Ernest Albert (1844 - 1900), Helena Augusta Victoria (1846 - 1923), Arthur William Patrick Albert (1850 - 1942), Leopold George Duncan Albert (1853 - 1884), Beatrice Mary Victoria Feodore (1856 - 1944).
