Born St Andrews, the daughter of Wilhelmina Bayne Meldrum and Allan Barns-Graham, landowner.
She attended Edinburgh College of Art from 1931.
She was part of the St Ives group of artists.
The information panel photographed below was part of a display of her work at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary in October 2018.
