Margaret Sheila MacKellar Chisholm (known as Sheila) was born in Australia, she travelled to Britain in 1914, where she was presented at Buckingham Palace.
The outbreak of the First World War prevented her return. She and her mother nursed in Cairo. One of the wounded was Francis St-Clair Erskine, whom she married in 1915. The couple had two sons. The marriage ended in divorce in 1926. She remarried in 1928. Her second husband was Sir John Charles Peniston Millbank. Her second husband died in a car accident in 1947. In 1954 she married her third husband, Prince Dimitri Alexandrovich. She died in 1969.
