Jean Shufflebottom was born in 1928 in Pudsey Yorkshire. She became an actor. In 1956 she was cast as Jeannie MacLennan in the American sitcom "Hey Jeannie!" The fictional Jeannie MacLennan was a Dunfermline born young woman living in New York. In 1958, Jeannie Carson visited Dunfermline, where she was given a civic reception.
Jeannie Carson has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
