Fenella was the daughter of a Mormaer and the wife of a noble.
Her son was killed, possibly in battle, by King Kenneth II. In revenge, Finella killed the king at Fettercairn in 955. She fled, pursued by some of the king's men, and jumped to her death from the top of the waterfall in Ben of Fenella.
