The daughter of Sir John Cass, Annie Cass married Weetman Pearson in 1881. The couple had four children. She was widowed in 1927.
She was a member of the Women's Liberal Federation and supported female suffrage. She also supported causes related to nursing.
She was a Burgess in Aberdeen.
She and her husband donated the Cowdray Hall to the city of Aberdeen.
She died in the Ritz Hotel, Paris.
