Sister Mary Urquhart QAIMNS was one of 76 female service personnel who drowned when the S.S. Khedive Ismail was torpedoed in the Indian Ocean on 12th February 1944. She is also commemorated on the Brookwood Memorial.
The third worst shipping disaster of WW2. In total 1,297 of the ship's complement were lost.

She is buried in Clyne New Burial Ground, also known as Brora Cemetery, Clyne in Grave number E.630.
Williamina also had two brothers – Alexander, Royal Engineers and Thomas, Cameron Highlanders who were both killed in the war.
She also had a brother-in-law who also died in the war.

While the inscription clearly says that Margaret was on the Lusitania, curiously there seems to be no record of a Margaret MacKenzie on the list of passengers and crew. Her name also appears on the Torridon war memorial.
