Memorial to Janet Roger

Dedicated to:
Inscription:

Here lie interred
The remains of that eminently pious Christian
JANET ROGER
Widow of the Revd Thomas Davidson
Minister of White Kirk and of Dundee
A woman who shone with uncommon lustre
A pattern of every Christian virtue
For many years before her death she appeared as it were
To be raised above mortality
A pure and benevolent spirit seemed to pant after and even
To anticipate the joys of the Heavenly state
Her communion with God in this life was closed
At Stirling on the XXth day of March MDCCLXXV in her XCVth year
When she breathed her last with the expressive words
Of the XLIIth psalm "My soul thirsteth for God"
"When shall I come and appear before God"
