Rhoda Alice Fraser was the elder daughter of John and Georgina Fraser. She was born in Moray and grew up in Oyne. At the time of her death her home address was 15 Allenvale Road, Aberdeen.
After leaving school, she worked in the office of Mowatt & Sons, fisccurers, South Esplanade, Aberdeen.
She joined the ATS during the Second World War. Her service no. was W/155271.

Charlotte Lockhart Baird
Charlotte Lockhart was the daughter of Robert Lockhart of Castlehill. She married James Baird in 1852. She laid the foundation stone of Alloway Parish church in 1857.
Maggie's Hoosie
Maggie Duthie
Maggie Duthie was the daughter of Charles Duthie, fisherman, and Elizabeth Ritchie who married in 1850. Maggie was the seventh of nine children.
Maggie lived her whole life in Inverallochy. Maggie's Hoosie preserves her way of life - the house had no electricity and no running water.
She died at home in 1950, aged 83.

The hospice was named Rachel House in recognition of a £2 million donation from the MacRobert Trust.

Lady Helen Street
Helen Hermione Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood
The daughter of Lord and Lady Dufferin, she married Ronald Munro Ferguson, Viscount Novar, in 1889. She was interested in nursing, and helped provide Kirkcaldy with a Victoria nurse.
The couple moved to Australia on her husband's appointment as Governor-General. She worked for the British Red Cross Society during the First World War and was awarded the GBE in 1918. On their return to Scotland, Lady Novar became a JP, and continued her public work.
She was widowed in 1934 and died in 1941.
