Agnes Annabel Kidston

Annabel Kidston (1896-1981) was born in Helensburgh. She studied at the Glasgow School of Art, under Greiffenhagen and Forrester Wilson and at the Slade School of Fine Art under Henry Tonks and Wilson Steer. She became a wood engraver, etcher and painter.

She moved to St Andrews and became the first president of the Art Committee of that town. She was also a founder member of the St Andrews Preservation Trust.

She lived at 21 Market Street, St Andrews, close to the site of the court which was named after her.

She died in 1981 in North Berwick.
